Friendly reminder about deer and fawns
Our backyards/landscaping have recently become temporary homes to many
fawns (baby deer). It should be known that the fawns just need to be left alone once found. (unless they are in danger of course) Mother deer will return for their babies and if the baby is moved/handled, this hinders the natural process. Animal Control will apparently remove the fawn if called so please only call if danger is eminent. Otherwise, consider yourself blessed that a mother deer would choose your yard for the safety of her young!
